North East Delight Tour 06 Days – Gangtok and Darjeeling are two of the most popular destinations in Northeast India, known for their natural beauty, rich culture, and stunning views of the Himalayas.
Both Gangtok and Darjeeling are easily accessible by road and air, with Bagdogra airport serving as the nearest airport to both destinations. Visitors can also travel by train to the New Jalpaiguri railway station, which is located approximately 70 kilometers from Gangtok and 60 kilometers from Darjeeling.
On arrival at Bagdogra airport, you will be met by a representative of the tour operator and transferred to your hotel in Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the city on your own.
After breakfast, set out to explore Gangtok. Visit the Enchey Monastery, the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, and the Gangtok Ropeway. In the afternoon, visit the Tsomgo Lake, a serene lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
After breakfast, take an excursion to Nathu La Pass, a high-altitude mountain pass on the India-China border. Along the way, visit the Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial and the Tsomgo Lake. Please note that the Nathu La Pass is subject to weather and road conditions and requires a special permit from the government.
After breakfast, drive to Darjeeling, a charming hill station known for its tea gardens and stunning views of the Himalayas. On arrival, check-in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Himalayas from the Tiger Hill viewpoint. After breakfast, visit the Ghoom Monastery, the Batasia Loop, and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. In the afternoon, take a tour of the tea gardens and learn about the history and production of Darjeeling tea.
After breakfast, transfer to Bagdogra airport for your onward journey.
